I hate math. Hate is a strong word and when I say I hate math, I mean it whole heartedly.
I had to pass a math test with a 90% or better to even pass my Pharmacology class, so I have been stressing about this test since January.
Yesterday was the big day and I got a 100%!!!! I was ecstatic. However, the type of math involved was super easy and it’s embarrassing that I struggled and stressed about it as much as I did.
Luckily, my hubby is great at math and didn’t judge me. He helped me a TON and explained stuff to me like I was 5 years old again.
I decided our kids will have a lot of help with their homework one day. John can be the math & history tutor. I can help with English/writing/spelling. She’s screwed for science… for goodness sake, the solar system changed since I was in school. Didn’t they eliminate Pluto as a planet? I actually still have the poster my Dad and I made for a science project of the solar system… I guess we could just chop off Pluto and Elle can re-use the project. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Speaking of recycling.
I always said when I bought a house, I would start recycling. Well, June 18th will mark the 2 year anniversary in our house. I have not recycled ONE item. I really think everyone should recycle….. just as soon as I get started. ;)
I’m not a big environmentalist, but I try to really be conscious of my “footprint”. I don’t liter. I don’t use Styrofoam. I yell at John when he burns random things in our fire pit. I swear there is a giant hole in the ozone layer right above my house. I remind him that Elle still has to grow up in this world. But given the direction society is heading nowadays, the environment is the least of my worries. I think I will be cancelling cable when Elle starts getting to the age of showing more interest in the TV. Even the Disney channel has shows I would deem inappropriate. Hopefully the Kardashians aren’t on TV anymore at this point, because I’m not quite sure I’m ready to give them up yet. Haven’t you seen Khloe & Lamar? Love.it.
So much for a blog post about my hatred for math.
Hope you’re having a great week.
