Baking Brownies & Writing Poetry

I was just cleaning off our desk and came across some poems we wrote for each other about a month ago.  John is so freaking cute.  It was his idea to make brownies and write poems to each other.  Mind you... neither of us our poets and all we had were a couple of 3x5 cards.

To me, love John:

I think about you a 1000 times a day
Aren't you glad I didn't turn gay

Spending time with you is my only treat
Wearing something sexy would be sweet

We were destine from a very young age
I wish I had more room on this page

Now my poem is turning real lame
Once again I lose at my own game

1% of the time I want to punch you for being a snot
99% of the time I think you are super hot

Everyday I will be by your side
I can't wait for this wonderful ride

To John, love me:

I asked you what was wrong with your finger
You looked at me hoping I wouldn't linger

Three years later you asked me to the dance
With a doubt in my mind, I took a chance

Unfortunately that didn't turn out so great
You supposedly had to work late

Later that year we played chicken in the pool
I'm pretty sure that's when our love grew

A few months later you left on your mission
I went to college and it was you I was missin

Life went on but we always kept in touch
Getting a letter from you made my heart gush

I never thought we'd be together
But my life changed quicker than the weather

I always knew we were perfect for each other
It only took me growing out my bangs for you to bother

Now we are married and have a baby girl
You're the best husband and Dad in the world
