House Hunting

HGTV frustrates me. They make home buying look so fun and glamorous, but in all reality... it's an emotional rollercoaster.
These are the three properties we've gotten excited about and then have been extremely let down because something is ALWAYS going wrong.
The yellow house was our first love. We found it on accident and fell in love with it immediately. Great house, great yard, great town...picture perfect family life. All ripped away from us by someone that offered cash & FULL asking price! I thought people didn't have money now-a-days......
The townhouse was another favorite... small but plenty of room to get us through life the next couple of years. A deal gone bad because the builder went bankrupt.......long story.
The adorable cape cod...... this is our new love. We have been really excited about this house, but John left me a message today and said the deal might fall through. He didn't tell me why, but it makes me very sad. I love this house and it's something I've always wanted. I LOVE old houses and their charm. I don't know what's wrong and I'm really mad at him for leaving me in the dark, but I'm assuming the worst because we haven't had the best of luck house hunting. Who knows... maybe its not our time. I'm feeling very overwhelmed with disappointment. I'm hoping I'm wrong for assuming the worse and maybe I can give a better update tomorrow.
Everyone says that you lose 2 or 3 before you get one......why does it have to be that way? Aside from the emotional rollercoaster (I've been on) I must say that John and I do have fun driving all over town looking for these kind of houses. It has been a great learning experience for the both of us and we are looking forward to the day we live in something we can call our own.

  1. We looked at those condos too! I have to say, I like the houses a lot more. The cape cod is super cute, I hope its not too far away from me and that things work out!
